Single Parent Cinema Access Bursary

We believe everyone should be able to enjoy cinema, regardless of their circumstances. Our Single Parent Cinema Access Bursary covers childcare costs while you enjoy a film at our festival.

What We Offer

• Free cinema ticket to any festival screening

• Coverage of childcare costs (up to £15 per hour per child, up to 2 children per applicant, up to 3 hours)

• Direct payment to your chosen childcare provider

• Available for up to 15 children per festival

How It Works

1. Choose Your Film

   • Browse our festival programme

   • Select a screening you'd like to attend

2. Arrange Childcare

   • Book your regular childminder or babysitter or nursery

   • We'll pay them directly after the screening (they will need to invoice us)

3. Simple Process

   • Fill out our quick application form

   • We'll reserve your cinema ticket

   • Collect your Bursary Code before the screening and after the screening

   • Enjoy the film 

   • Provide us with the Bursary Code and we will handle the childcare payment

   • If your provider has questions about the invoice, they can contact us by email

How to Apply

Complete our simple application form including:

• Your contact details

• Number and ages of children needing care

• Your chosen film and screening time

• Your childcare provider's details (it is your responsibility to make them aware of us paying them after the screening)
