RULES FOR PARTICIPANTS
On the first day of each month round you will find the topic of the month published on our Instagram account - https://www.instagram.com/thebayfilmfestival
Following the topic of the month, take your camera (it can be any accessible camera including mobile phones) go to Morecambe Bay and make some exciting photos;
Post your photo(s) of Morecambe Bay on your Instagram account;

Each participant is allowed to submit up to 3 photos per round. If more photos are submitted, we will accept only first 3;
Don't submit multiple photos in Instagram carousel. If you do - we will only accept the first photo;
If your photo had people on it, you will need to have a written consent from them provided if you win. You will need to state in the description that you can provide written consent. If a photo containing people doesn't have this in their description, it will be disregarded;
The results of each round will be posted on Instagram in the beginning of each month. The photographs will be judged on the merit of their creativity by a panel of 5 people.
Please, check that your photo received a LIKE from the festival account on the first day of the month by midday. If it doesn't - we could have missed it. If this is the case - contact us asap.
If it is not clear from your photo that it is made in the Morecambe Bay area - please state the location in the description.
* IMPORTANT! If you don't copy this text, we will not see your entry! Also, some participants are just adding the description to the photos they have already posted before. If this is the case - there is a high risk we will not see your photo, as we follow the hashtag's new photos each month.

Capture the stunning colours and silhouettes as the sun dips below or rises above the horizon.

JUNE: Historic Landmarks
Highlight the historic buildings, piers, and other landmarks that are part of the rich heritage of Morecambe Bay. Don't limit yourself with just Morecambe. Other landmarks from other towns from around the Bay are also eligible.

JULY: Wildlife of Morecambe Bay
Showcase the diverse range of wildlife that call Morecambe Bay home.
The photos on this topic should be submitted only in July.
AUGUST: Morecambe Weather
Dramatic storm clouds, colourful rainbows, foggy mornings, scary storms - capture the diverse weather conditions that can be seen over Morecambe Bay.
The photos on this topic should be submitted only in August.
SEPTEMBER: Reflections of Morecambe
Highlight the beauty of Morecambe through reflections in water, windows, or other surfaces, showcasing a different perspective of familiar sights.
The photos on this topic should be submitted only in September.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By entering this competition you agree that "The Bay International Film Festival" has the right to exhibit your photo during the Film Festival in November 2024 and share this photo on their social media. You will get the full credit as the photographer.
You confirm that the rights of this photo belong to you and that if your photo is selected for the exhibition, you can provide the best available quality digital file of this photo for printing
You confirm that the photo was made in the Morecambe Bay area.
Entrants under the age of 16 years need to have parent or guardian consent to enter.
