Stories Beyond Borders
"Stories Beyond Borders" is a competition for international short films submitted to us via FilmFreeway platform. The nominated and winning films will be screened during the festival in November 2024.
TBIFF presents 10 awards for short films in the 2024 season:
- The Best Short Film
- Best Storytelling in Short Film
- Best Performance in Short Film
- Best Cinematography in Short Film
- Best Editing in Short Film
- Best Music in Short Film
- Best Animation film
- Best Documentary film
- Best Experimental film
- Best Student film
The Officially selected films will be announced in September 2024.
The nominations will be announced in October 2024.
The winners will be announced at our Awards ceremony on the 1st December 2024.
The winners will get:
- Festival trophy and certificate of Award
- 2 full access festival passes (per film)
- Free lifetime submission to the next festival editions
- Limited travel expenses bursaries TBA
- BEST MUSIC AWARD - £250 gift card to use at www.spitfireaudio.com
- BEST FILM, BEST STUDENT FILM, BEST EDITING & BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY AWARDS - a year subscription (£78 worth) to www.shotdeck.com
- BEST STORYTELLING - a copy of Final Draft software (£157 worth) from www.finaldraft.com
- Other non-monetary complimentary prizes from our partners TBA
The second-year programme aim to screen 60-70 best short films over 9 screenings. We also will announce a number of Quarter-Finalists and Semi-Finalists, some of which will be proposed to screen their films out of competition at our mini-festival tour around Morecambe Bay in 2025.
