Two exhibitions of photos and miniatures will run 26-30 November at The Platform in Morecambe.
"The Beauty of Morecambe Bay"
Experience Morecambe Bay through local lenses! Our exhibition showcases 40 stunning photos from our 5-month-long photo competition. From dramatic sunsets to hidden gems, these images capture the essence of our coastal paradise. Don't miss this visual feast celebrating our community's talent and the Bay's natural splendour!
"The Art of Cinema in Miniature"
Step into "Tiny Worlds" and discover the magic of miniatures! Local artist Josh Backhouse brings beloved movie scenes to life in stunning detail. His intricate dioramas will transport you to iconic film moments. You will also peek behind the scenes of Josh's meticulous process and witness how big stories come alive on a small scale.
Opening hours: 26 to 30 November from 2pm to 6pm.

Lights, Camera, Fashion! Calling all LGBTQ+ film buffs and costume enthusiasts! You can join our fabulous costume competition "Best Drag Outfit" and come to the screening of "Unicorns" in a costume! The creators of the film will choose the most dazzling costume. Some cute prizes await the winner! Show your creativity, celebrate diversity, and be part of the movie magic. All identities welcome. In the course of a professional career in art education, broadcasting, film criticism and curation, Professor Sir Christopher Frayling has had many memorable - and sometimes candid - conversations with key directors, actors and production designers. In this illustrated lecture, Christopher shares some of the highlights, reminisces about the background to his conversations, and discusses what he learnt from them. The cast of characters will include Alfred Hitchcock, Doris Day and Clint Eastwood, the production designer Ken Adam, with a guest appearance by Lawrence of Arabia - the real one.
