Bay Short Film Festival - June-July 2026
This June and July, we're bringing our award-winning short film programme out of Morecambe and on the road - touring four towns around Morecambe Bay for an evening of cinema, conversation and community.
Screenings, filmmaker Q&As, film club discussions and networking events are planned across Morecambe, Carnforth, Ulverston and Barrow-in-Furness - dates and venues to be confirmed shortly.

Guerilla Filmmakers Masterclass with Chris Jones
28-29 June, Lancaster
Calling all Filmmakers, Screenwriters, Actors & Producers: The famous Guerilla Filmmakers Masterclass is coming to Lancaster!
The famous masterclass will run over the weekend 27–28 June 2026, hosted by the University of Cumbria, co-organised by Bay Education and Creative Hub & The Bay International Film Festival. The masterclass will be run by Chris Jones - the guest of TBIFF-2026, Oscar-shortlisted filmmaker, author of bestselling books, splinter unit director on Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Parts 1 & 2 and co-executive producer of a docuseries for Apple TV.
Over two packed days, Chris will walk you through the entire filmmaking journey from concept to screen and beyond, with hundreds of practical tips, networking with fellow creatives, and a massive shot of creative rocket fuel. Over 3,000 filmmakers from around the world have taken this masterclass.
